The Two Guidelines for the Diabetic Diet.
1. If it tastes good….spit it out you can not have it.
2. If you can have it and you want it. The amount is so small….what’s the point.
I want a brownie………HELL…….I WANT A WHOLE PAN OF BROWNIES!!! : O (
Ok…it is not that bad. But sure seems like it.
What I have to do is change what I want to eat. On the upside. I have lost 9 pounds.

First thing, I want to apologize in advance for this post. OMG I have turned into an old lady who talks about her health all the time.
I recommend you don’t even bother to read this post. It’s only a bit of emotional vomit. Messy, not pleasant but you feel all the better having done it.
I just got diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. And I also have high blood pressure and cholesterol.
It is sobering. I have a disease. True it is controllable. But for the rest of my life I have a disease.
I have been doing research about it all. It is very overwhelming. TOO much information. At this point, I wish there was a place to just order all my meals. Sort of a diabetic Jenny Craig.
My nurse practitioner says that since I have diabetes my high blood pressure and cholesterol puts me in then same category to have a heart attach ias if I had already had a heart attack. Now isn’t that special. Just great. I have diabetes but not to worry I will probably drop dead from a heart attach first.
My prescription:
Glucophage for cholesterol. Which will also help my high blood pressure and secondarily diabetes too.
Walking 30 minutes everyday.
No eating at night. (This is the hardest one)
And of course the daily blood letting…I mean checking my blood sugar levels.
