My Yard Under Water

This is what I woke up to this morning. Every time it rains slightly hard my yard gets flooded. This is what happens when people are allowed to build above you without proper drainage.

I called the Cary water works. Their Rapid Response Team was indeed very rapid. I was told the overflow pipe in the front yard is broken. Of course, there is debate on who is suppose to pay to have it fixed.

The RRT looked at the culvert above my house and found logs. One of our neighbors had a tree cut down and the pieces must have wash into the creek. One log is as big around as a telephone pole and about 5 feet long. I was amazed to see a guy by himself pick it up and put it over his shoulder and walk it up to the street.
