To become really proficient at something it takes 10K hours. So you’re allowed to suck till then.
Aficionado: a person who likes, knows about, and appreciates..,usually fervently pursued interest or activity, a devotee.
I was looking up aficionado in an online dictionary so I could learn how to pronounce it. Well this was hampered by the fact I did not now how to spell it. I did find, that quite a few other people did not know how to spell it either. I found lots of posts with it spelled wrong. Usually Google is good at guessing what I want and it asks if I meant this or that. But this time my spelling was so off even Google could not figure it out. So then I tried putting in words that might mean the same thing…ie.. expert, lover of, etc. No luck. Did it start with a? or e? or o? I finally figured it out after about an hour of trial and error.
I am posting about it here so when I have forgetten how to spell it again. I will not have to spend another hour trying to figure it out.
Don’t be surprised to see it several times in up coming posts. In hopes of planting it in my age afflicted brain.
